According to the Labour Force Survey in 2007 (people aged 16-66) the employment rate for disabled people was 45.3%, compared to 74.8% in the population as a whole (including disabled people).

Disabled people’s organisations

The national assembly representing disabled people’s organisations is:

  • Funksjonshemmedes fellesorganisasjon, FFO (The Norwegian Federation of Organisations of Disabled People), www.ffo.no.
    The FFO was established in 1950. It represents 72 associations of disabled people and people with chronic illness, with a total of about 335.000 members.
